Siruthavur is a small village near Thiruporur, and there is a possibility that some people may not know about it. Its period starts from the megalithic period. The Chola kingdom, which was administrated from the Pallava period to the Vijayanagara period, was located in the Amur region of Amur. Its period can be divided into two types:
1) Neolithic period
2) Historical period
Historical period can be classified as the Pallava, Chola, Pandya, Vijayanagara,Sambuvarayar and Nayaka periods. Siruthavur existed during the reigns of the above-mentioned.

They include two daggers, six
wedges, six knives of which a long one was a
cutting knife blade, four sickles, one chisel and
three swords of which one was a fragment of a
long sword. One dagger was complete except
the bottom tip portion of the tang while the
the other one was broken.

Temple Ruins
There are many temples built during the Pallava and Chola periods in Siruthavuur, but they are not in a complete state. One of them is the Bhutha Greeswar Temple. This temple may have been built during the early Chola period. It has a sanctum, an arthamandapam and a mahamandapam.
This temple has inscriptions from Cholas, Pandyas, Sambuvarayar and Telugu Cholas. There is also a Vaduga Pillayar temple. The inscriptions mostly mention donations made to the temple.
